Falcons select BrandoN Fletcher

KIHL Franchise General Managers converge on the nation's capital, Wellington for the 2025 KIHL Draft.

Falcons General Manager Craig Young selected KIHL Debutant Brandon Fletcher with his number 1 pick in the 2025 KIHL Draft.

Fletcher, a Hamilton based player caught the eye of both players and General Managers during KIHL Rink Wars in October. Brandon featured for Wheelhub NZ in the Pro Division adding maturity and intensity to an already All-Star Team. KIHL look forward to seeing the young man join the League come Opening Weekend in February.

Sting General Manager Joseph Dowman wasted no time in announcing Jason McMahon as his 1st pick, going 2nd overall.

Newly appointed General Manager Nathan Lovell would have his first opportunity to add to his earlier selections to the Katipō Franchise taking 2024 KIHL Champion Josh Gulliver.

Jasmine Horner-Pascoe would also have her first opportunity to draft a player to her recently acquired franchise the Royals and selecting Spanish player Oriol Morera.

Braeden Kettle was an obvious choice for Dolphins General Manager Dean Gibbins. After four seasons we finally see the Hamilton Duo with Josh McMaster. Is this the new Jaan Turia and Callum Hawthorne?

Lewis Dawson would then round out the first round of picks selecting Jeremy Chai 6th Overall in the 2025 KIHL Draft.
