KIHL ALL-STAR WEEKEND

KIHL celebrated it's 3rd All-Star Weekend with the addition of the KIHL Junior Southern Cross Series featuring KIHL Mana Toa, KIHL Mana Tane and, KIHL Mana Wahine (Our first Junior Female Team).

Joining the usual ranks in the Pacific Series seen the KIHL Mana Cup All-Stars, KIHL Young-Guns, KIHL 38+ All-Stars and, the addition of the KIHL Junior Manaia (The best of our KIHL Junior League).

And for the first time KIHL joined our Ice Hockey counterparts with the BHL/FHL Traveling Goons on Wheels facing off against the KIHL All-Star Team in a 3 game series.

The Southern Cross Series got off to a great start with the Mana Toa taking on the Mana Wahine. A greatly contested series with the Mana Tane (best of Division 2) taking out the series over the Mana Toa 3 - 1 in the Finals. Ryan Yu  (Mana Tane) awarded MVG with Corey Kwan (Mana Toa) awarded the series MVP. Mana Tane Captain Marley Webb accepting the KIHL Southern Cross Series trophy. 

The Pacific Series was amazing display of skill and sportsmanship with the 38+ All-Stars and the KIHL Junior Manaia causing some unanticipated upsets. KIHL 38+ only dropping games to the KIHL Junior Manaia while the KIHL Junior Manaia losing only one game to the Mana Cup All-Stars in overtime and going on to Win the KIHL Pacific Series title for 2025.

Pacific Series MVP awarded to Nick Thom (38+ All-Stars) and, Pacific Series MVG was an obvious choice with the in form Troy Perry (KIHL Junior Manaia). Logan Eastwood accepting the KIHL Pacific Series Trophy as the Capitan of the KIHL Junior Manaia. 

KIHL All-Star Team and the Traveling Goons began their 3 game series with a moment of silence dedicated to the late Finley Forbes. A New Zealand Representative in both Ice and Inline Hockey. A touching tribute from both communities paying their respects before the game.

KIHL All-Star Team went on to win the series in convincing fashion with both teams putting on a great display of hockey talent. Braeden Kettle (KIHL All-Star Team) awarded as Series MVP with Dion McLean accepting the KIHL ALL-STAR Trophy for the KIHL All-Stars. 

 KIHL will join BHL All-Star Weekend in February and take to the Ice against the best of the BHL.
