KIHL Junior Draft 2024

KIHL celebrated their inaugural KIHL Junior Draft where we seen 80 teens drafted to 8 teams across 4 Franchises.

The Royals won the Draft Lottery and gained the rights to pick the first player to join the Saints Team under the Royals Franchise. 

Royals selected Wesley Taiapa as the KIHL Junior number 1 Draft Pick for 2024.

Falcons selected Ari O'Connell as the 2nd overall pick, followed by Dolphins taking KIHL Juniors first international player with Cooper Beck from Tasmania, Australia, with pick 3. Sting select Jackson McDowell as the 4th pick in the KIHL Junior Draft. 

The Draft was a huge success with all Franchise General Managers involved with assisting their Junior GMs.

Falcons GM Craig Young - Junior GM Richard Wang. Protected Players Christian Wong and Troy Perry. 

Dolphins GM Dean Gibbins - Junior GM Ryan Williams. Protected Players Ruby Waghorn and Matthew Eastwood. 

Sting GM Joe Dowman - Junior GM Zac Williams. Protected Players Felix Lu and Logan Eastwood.
