🚨 KIHL SEASON VI - THE RESET 🚨

NEW GENERAL MANAGERS

NEW RULES, NEW FORMAT

🧭 THE RESET - SEASON VI

* All players enter the KIHL Entry Draft 

* No player protections during the reset

* Lottery Draft December 1st

(Determine Draft Pick Order)

▶️ FRANCHISES 

* KIHL will see up to four new Franchise General Managers join the Management Group on 2027

(More info coming soon)

* The original four franchises (Dolphins, Sting, Royals, Soldiers) will get a jersey redesign by Duster Athletic Designs.

⛔️ NEW RULES 

* KIHL will trial the "Shane McLean Rule" in 2027 and review this at the end of the season. 

The rule allows a team that scores shorthanded to have the penalty canceled, and the player returned. (Minor Penalties only, more information to come)

* KIHL General Managers will only have the rights to a player for two consecutive seasons. This will include the season in which the player is drafted. (We hope protected players will have more opportunities to join other franchises and potentially force trades throughout the season)

🏆 FINALS 

* KIHL Finals will now be the best of 5 game series

* Playoff Series Weekend will continue as normal with the addition of Game 1 of the Finals Series set to take place on the Sunday of the Playoff Series Weekend. Game 2 will continue on the Friday of KIHL Finals Series Weekend with Games 3 - 5 continuing on Saturday.
