Royals take top spot

The Royals hold the top of the KIHL Cup standings after Round 1 and Round 2. The blue and whites have 6 wins from 7 games with 1 loss to the Dolphins and an Overtime win over the Dolphins holding the Royals to 17 points.

The Dolphins sit in second on 14 points with 4 wins from 6 games but also picked up 2 points in their 2 losses as they managed to push the losses to overtime. The Dolphins also have a game in hand and will have an opportunity to catch up on their 4 game weekend.

Soldiers sit third in the standings with Sting and Falcons Round out the bottom of the standings.

Craig Young and the Tui have taken the Mana Cup Division with a commanding lead holding first place in the standings with 5 wins from 6 games holding a 2 point lead while the Marlins sit in second with 12 points.

The Hornets are not out of the race either in third place with 10 points while the Knights managed to find some momentum in round 2 to bring themselves into contention with 9 points.

The Recruits did manage to record a win over the Hornets and proved they can compete but losing players to the Soldiers proved a challenge during round 1 and 2.

Plenty of hockey left to play and we have 3 more regular season rounds to go. It's way to early to predict any winners and with the trade window now open, who knows what's on offer.
